Yesterday, the weather suddenly warmed up in the city, and I spent half the day strolling through the botanical garden🌸
In the evening, I started watching a new series starring Nicole Kidman. It seems like Netflix has signed a major deal with her! 🥰
The series is called Perfect Couple, a classic detective story, or at least that’s the vibe I got from the first episode!💕
The start was promising, but lately, I’ve been bothered by how so many shows focus on the lives of ultra-wealthy people. It’s often hard to truly empathize with them!🥲
You know, when I see such central characters, it feels like we’re back in the 19th century, where the “heroes of literature” could only come from super-privileged classes😭
Maybe this is one of the manifestations of neo-feudalism in popular culture!🤔
I think these thoughts were inspired by my recent deep dive into the horribly unjust caste system in India, which sadly still exists and seems to be worsening😭
Do u know of any other places in the world where society has such rigid hierarchical structures?
