When I was called Rita in kindergarten, I proudly corrected, "Actually, I'm Margo." Friends from other countries often emphasize the 'A' in my name, and I absolutely love it. Not Margó, but Márgo. It sounds exotic, in my opinion. Unusual, you know. Another female name I used to fancy was Alice. Now it triggers me for personal reasons and evokes very mixed feelings. But if we set personal matters aside, it sounds beautiful.
