Songkran in Thailand sucked all the energy out of me...
The aftermath: wet clothes, everything soaked, face covered in clay or some chalk, I don't know what it is.
It was loud, fun, wet, a bit of a nightmare, I enjoyed it, but I'm exhausted.
I ended up with 22k steps in a day, quite a lot for me. And why? Because it's hard to use any transport during the festival days, taxis are unavailable, and you either have to walk or, if possible, ride tuk-tuks (*local open-air buses), which get soaked the most from the water splashes.
Songkran is the Thai New Year. A huge festival with its own traditions, and today I found myself right in the midst of it.
Now I'm back home, time to relax. I'll try to recover and return to my blog as soon as possible~
