Message: I just wanted to let everyone know I'm safe. I had to take the day off yesterday due to the fires because I had friends evacuating here. I live in Los Angeles in a safe area in the city but the smoke is really bad here everywhere right now. I ordered an air purifier and bought some bottled water today. I have some KN95 masks and I'll order some gas masks and fire extinguishers. Prepare for natural disasters before they happen! I definitely wasn't prepared enough and learned my lesson. Now I have to sit in smoke for 2 days waiting for my air purifier to arrive. I'll probably go to a friend's house later that has one and stay there. Keep Los Angeles in your prayers and consider donating to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation. The two largest fires still have zero containment right now and the closest fire to me was only 3 miles away last night but I think that one is mostly contained now.
