♦In case y'all were wondering, I started my gender transition in 2017. I've been taking hormones for over 3y and I had an orchiectomy in 2019. Transitioning gave me my life back. If you're a cis person who doesn't know much about transgender people, here's a couple things you should know. We've always been the gender that we are. We transition to make our appearance match what's inside. Transitioning is medical care. A lot of us suffer from depression and other mental health issues because of abuse/trauma relating to being trans. We aren't safe to be ourselves in this world right now. By openly showing that you support trans rights, and by challenging transphobic views, you can make a big difference in making sure that trans people live happier lives.
