She was short, maybe explaining all the heels on the shoe rack, and delicate in ways I couldn’t quite describe, but she had curves to kill for. My eyes traveled from her painted toes up her toned legs, past her waist, her collar bones, and then to her pouty lips and curious gaze.  “I wish he looked at me like that,” she said instead. “God, when’s the last time we...” She trailed off and downed the rest of her wine. She stood from her stool, breezed past me to the kitchen on the other side of the counter, and picked up an opened bottle of wine to pour more. “Want a glass?” “I came here to rob you,” I reminded her. “Oh, right,” she said, and poured herself a glass anyway. “Good choice.” “Because of what you own, or because of you?” I saw something spark in her expression and walked over to her. When I brushed a curl behind her ear, her eyelids fluttered. “He’s with someone else tonight. You could be too.” “What if he came home?” But she was already leaning into my touch. What the hell was I doing? I needed the cash that would come from this burglary. But the prize before me seemed so much sweeter. “I think in some way you’d like that,” I said, and she met my smirk with one of her own.  “The safe is in the master bedroom,” she said slyly. “I could show it to you.” “Lead the way.”
