Yesterday was Winter solstice and the longest night in the year. According to mythology winter solstice is the real New Year, where everything dies and is reborn the next day in a new cycle.
I went hiking on a mountain with friends, we celebrated this event by lighting fire and singing ancient folk songs. It was very beautiful but also very cold so unfortunately I made no other pics than this amazing mountain view.
