Today is the day I go get a Japanese phone number (finally). Everything I need to set up has been so overwhelming, and you don't think about it back home because its stuff you did over years (Registering your address, getting a SIN #, Getting a bank, getting a phone number, registering my pets, etc.).
Ive been putting off a phone number for a few weeks now because its like, $100 for startup fees that im dreading (drained all my savings moving here so im really on the edge rn, choosing between being able to leave my house and do something so i dont go crazy, or getting this dang phone :P ).
But there are SO many things I've been unable to do because you need a number (like signing up for all the apps here, or getting discounts for things, heck, even some vending machines offer "pay by phone").
I don't expect anyone to contribute, but if youre feeling rad (and want me to still be able to leave my house this week so I dont go crazy), I would definitely love that 🥹
