Message: Taken literally MOMENTS before tragedy struck our house. I was relaxing, taking pictures. my boyfriend let the dogs out because they started getting antsy, usually because they see a rabbit or something. Heard some ruckus, I figured one of them had accidentally hurt the other. And then I smelled it. That god awful smell. They had been sprayed by a skunk. Rico (my German Shepherd) comes bolting through the house, he got sprayed directly in the face, so he can't see or breathe. I get him into MY bath (rip cool black bath bomb. You will be missed.) and start washing him (btw, tomato juice is a myth. Use dish soap, baking soda, and hydrogen peroxide all mixed together instead.) The skunks spray started to burn my skin, in my bath. It was like someone had pepper sprayed my whole body. We finally got him washed off. I wash myself off, then we wash our other dog, Bruce, who by the way, thought this whole thing was just the best. Washed myself off again... and then Rico pukes. Dear god. Skunk puke is the forbidden battery acid of this world. It is fuckin RANCID. I have never in my life dry heaved so hard while trying to clean up some dog puke. After all that, and still to this day, we have been doing load after load of laundry trying to get the smell out of the house. We sprayed our entire house with Odoban, and the smell is still here (much less now than before... but it's still here.) So, that is why I havent posted in a few days. A major inconvenience happened.
