Message: I just finished a sauna and ice bath immersion, which is also known as contrast therapy. It’s one of my favourite activities that I do every few weeks. You start off with being in the sauna for 10-15 minutes and then take a dip in the ice bath for up to 2 minutes right after. After the sauna and ice bath, you can relax. I like to relax for 10-15 minutes. This cycle is repeated several times. I like to do a minimum of 3 cycles. The sauna was at 90°C/194°F and the ice bath was at 0.7°C/33°F. Other than feeling great and relaxed, contrast therapy has many benefits such as: - Improving circulation - Increasing energy and alertness - Elevating mood - Reducing inflammation - Improving sleep quality I highly recommend it.
