Message: On the road in Mettlach on the Saar and a little warm-up for our hike. Now I've practically grown up in the area and discover something new: the "Old Tower" in the Abbey Park. It is the oldest upright religious building in Saarland. It is a small church with an octagonal floor plan. The old Villeroy & Boch factory is also located in the abbey park. A long-established porcelain factory. A little secret? I am a porcelain nerd (lover). I own around 12 complete sets of porcelain tableware (for 12 people each). 🤩 Who would have thought it? So: no holiday on the Saar without a visit to Villeroy & Boch. Kisses 😘 and happy fathersday (in Germany) 🩷
