Message: An evening out in Cologne! You have to make the most of the nice weather here! Our Rhine is currently carrying quite a lot of water. The boats are still travelling! Unfortunately, the Old Town is always directly affected by flooding. However, unlike many other regions in Germany, we have still been spared. The normal water level of the Rhine near Cologne is 3.21 metres. It is currently at 5.17 metres.
The Rhine promenade with its old town and lovely pubs is an ideal place to go out in the evening and enjoy a "Kölsch". Kölsch is a light-coloured, bright (filtered) and top-fermented full beer 😉 I have to admit: I don't drink beer 😉 Or very rarely.......
