Message: I'm back from my summer trip to Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 ! What an incredible time! After my wonderful & lovely walk in Windsor on the Thames 🩷 I travelled via Manchester to the Lowlands. In my opinion, completely underestimated by tourists! It was incredibly beautiful there and - empty of tourists! Extensive hilly picture-book landscapes characterise the scenery just as much as golden fields stretching to the horizon and dark brown farmland. Lonely mountain lakes, wild moors and endless hilly landscapes can be found in the Lowlands as well as romantic castles, magnificent palaces and dreamy abbeys. It's a good thing I'm always on the road early (because I'm usually awake from 05:00am 🤣). So I was practically all alone at the southernmost point of Scotland. I travelled through a fascinating, lonely landscape to the Mull of Galloway. Including many animal encounters. And these thistles 🩷. I love thistles. And I love cows! What a sweet hotel I had booked, nestled in the countryside and with marvellous "no accessibility 3G reception" .... And the room too!
