Drinking water at a winery. There’s a coupon on the dresser offering 2 free glasses every day I’m here. I almost said “it’s just 2 days” but was instantly disappointed that I would even consider breaking my promise to myself
I’m not an alcoholic, I’m not struggling with an addiction. I simply want to cleanse my body and make good decisions for my brain. But the temptation shows me just how dangerous alcohol is. I don’t break promises, it’s not in line with my integrity. But there I was considering the free glasses.
Instead I chose to pour some water in this fancy glass and it feels SO GOOD. I’m proud of myself which seems silly… all I did was say no to some alcohol. But I’m truly not giving myself enough credit.
Water has never tasted cleaner than it does in this environment. ♥️
